As many of our projects are located in conservation areas, we are constantly looking for new and innovative methods and materials that we can incorporate into our work in order to promote
environmentally friendly measures.
We use the design process as an opportunity to explore the potential that developments may have to promote natural habitats and biodiversity, from greenery such as trees and shrubs to the use of bat and bird boxes, bee bricks, hedgehog highways and hibernacula for reptiles and amphibians.
We also explore the possible incorporation of low/zero-carbon alternatives to traditional building materials such as hempcrete, lime, cork and screw piles, all of which can be used for multiple purposes within the construction process.
